Toronto Ranked the 13th Best City in the World

Per the new BlogTO article, Toronto has recently been deemed the 13th best city in the world for 2021.

As the article points out, “the report, released by Resonance Consultancy, ranks the world’s 100 top-performing principal cities with metropolitan populations of one million or more based on the relative quality of the place, reputation and competitive identity.”

This ranking of 13th for Toronto, it’s best placing yet, was powered by its high level of diversity and focus on education.

With other criteria such as culinary experiences, museums, sights and landmarks, travel accessibility and now, number of COVID-19 cases, Toronto has become a world-renowned place to visit and live.

Unlucky 13 – I don’t think so.

So, what does that mean for your business?

Well, it’s quite simple.  The higher the rank, the greater desire for people to want to live, work, and visit these cities.

If companies worldwide want the best talent working for them, they must go to where the talent is.  On the flip side, if companies want to have the largest consumer base, go to these same cities where people will flock to call their new home or vacation destination.

Although we boast the eighth-most Global 500 head offices in the world, Toronto has officially forced itself in to the mix as a desired expansion city for many more enterprise level companies globally.  Although this process was well underway, having the support of these rankings will surely solidify Toronto on the proverbial “business map”.

But, with the pandemic still going strong, setting up a national headquarters may not be in the best interest of these companies… just yet.
